SCORE and Office of Research Development Joint Seminars

The MUSC Specialized Center of Research Excellence (SCORE) on Sex Differences, in conjunction with the Office of Research Development, are pleased to offer two workshops related to Incorporating Sex as a Biological Variable into basic and clinical research. These two workshops are planned for February 2021 in Microsoft Teams.

SABV- Grant Writing Considerations - February 22, 2021

Aimee McRae-Clark, Pharm.D., a professor in Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences and Neuroscience and Carmela Reichel, Ph.D., associate professor in Neurosciences, will lead a workshop open to all faculty, staff, students, and postdocs discussing strategies and best practices for incorporating sex as a biological variable into both basic and clinically-focused research grants.

SABV- Statistical & Design Considerations - February 24, 2021

Viswanathan Ramakrishnan, Ph.D., a professor in Public Health Sciences and Nathaniel Baker, MS, research assistant professor in Public Health Sciences, will lead a workshop open to all faculty, staff, students, and postdocs discussing statistical considerations when incorporating sex as a biological variable into both basic and clinically-focused research grants.
