Policies & Procedures
The MUSC IBC, under its Charter and Procedures and the NIH Guidelines, oversees all research at MUSC using recombinant DNA [rDNA], microbes [of all risk groups, RG 1-4], and certain biotoxins. Work with all Select Agents is included. The IBC will ensure that the proposed research is in compliance with all relevant portions of applicable federal, state and local laws, rules, regulations, and guidelines, including, but not limited to:
