Request for Proposals

The South Carolina Spinal Cord Injury Research Fund welcomes submissions to the following Request for Proposals. Please ensure that submissions correspond with the appropriate RFP. If you are unsure, please contact the Executive Director.

GUIDANCE FOR ALL PROPOSALS:

  • Travel to conferences, where permitted, will only be approved to present SCIRF grant specific research findings.
  • No Co-PI's are allowed.  Each proposal must have a single PI that is the main contact for all grant correspondence.  Co-I's are allowed.
  • Please be aware of appropriate disability language in all proposals.  Use neutral language instead of language that portrays a person as passive (not suffering or victim).  If your proposal includes descriptions of those without disabilities do not use words that imply negative stereotypes of those with disabilities.  Remember to only refer to a person as a 'patient' with an SCI if you are describing them in their relationship with a healthcare provider.  You can find many additional resources online regarding proper language.
