Research Professionals Network

The Research Professionals Network (RPN) offers a series of peer-led, collaborative virtual workshops focused on topics relevant to clinical research professionals. The workshops are based in the Joint Task Force for Clinical Trial Competency Framework and there is no charge to attend.

Monthly workshops are taught by peer staff from MUSC and our collaborating sites:

  • Boston Medical Center/Boston University CTSI
  • University of Vermont Clinical Research Office (and affiliate Maine Medical Center)
  • University of Florida CTSI (and affiliate Florida State University)

RPN Workshops provide opportunities for networking with other clinical research professionals and enhancing your professional development and leadership skills. Attendees can also receive continuing education credits towards ACRP and SoCRA certification maintenance.

Interested in presenting at an RPN workshop?

The RPN team is always looking for engaged research staff who want to share their expertise and work on their presentation skills by leading or co-leading a virtual workshop. When possible, you will be paired with a presenter from one of our partner institutions to collaborate and learn from each other.

Workshops run for 75 minutes and about half the time is devoted to a hands-on activity. SCTR and the RPN leadership team will provide you with guidance and mentorship to develop the presentation.

If you are interested in presenting at an RPN workshop, or have a great idea for a topic, please contact Diana Lee-Chavarria.
