Addiction Sciences Research As a research organization, the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at MUSC has an outstanding history of advancing knowledge in the field of addiction. Some of the most well-known and respected leaders in the field of alcohol and chemical dependency research are conducting studies at MUSC. Behavioral Health Innovations Lab The Behavioral Health Innovations Lab aims to develop better methods for studying behavioral health issues and treatments that will improve health and well-being. Many of our ongoing studies focus on increasing access to high quality, evidence-based treatments for quitting smoking and depression management. Biomedical Informatics Center The MUSC Biomedical Informatics Center provides investigators with access to a variety of software tools, databases, and support systems. Cancer Advancing cancer research at MUSC through innovative basic, translational, and clinical studies. Cancer Prevention & Control The Cancer Prevention & Control Program fosters population-based research on tobacco control, HPV vaccination advocacy, and reducing cancer health disparities. Cannabinoid Research Collaborative (CRC) The Cannabinoid Research Collaborative (CRC) is committed to advancing the science of cannabis and cannabinoids research. The CRC is dedicated to understanding current trends in cannabis use and how they affect health and well-being. Cardiac Signaling Center Cardiac Signaling Center is a joint venture between USC, MUSC, and Clemson University. Center for Anatomical Studies & Education The Center for Anatomical Studies & Education hosts and supports the research studies, educational projects, and continuing education of anatomical sciences at MUSC. Center for Biomedical Imaging CBI provides the leadership and infrastructure in the imaging sciences necessary for basic and clinical scientists to collaborate, discover new ways to study normal and disease processes, develop and apply knowledge to clinically relevant research. Center for Cellular Therapy | Department of Surgery The Center for Cellular Therapy (CCT) is an FDA registered cGMP level facility that meets the most rigorous standards in the aspect of processing of cells. Center for Healthy Aging In alignment with the United Nations Decade of Healthy Ageing, the MUSC Center for Healthy Aging embraces all aspects of healthy aging with an understanding that aging begins at birth, and healthy aging strategies must reach across the entire lifespan.
