SCTR provides the expertise, resources, training, and funding that clinical and translational research teams need to move discoveries from the laboratory into real‑world clinical practice. Through a comprehensive suite of services and expert consultations, we support investigators at every stage of the translational spectrum—from identifying funding opportunities to designing rigorous studies, engaging communities, leveraging data, and implementing evidence‑based solutions. Our programs are designed to accelerate the impact of clinical and translational research and improve health for patients and communities across South Carolina and beyond.

Provides methodological expertise to clinical and translational researchers, SCTR pilot project investigators and K awardees.

Catalyzes the development of personalized, effective, relevant, and cost-efficient lifestyle intervention and health care management programs.

Dissemination & Implementation Science (DISC)

Accelerates the impact of clinical and translational research and offers support in designing, conducting, and evaluating D&I studies.

Health Informatics

Provides investigators with access to a variety of software tools, databases, and support systems to support clinical and translational research.

Pilot Program

Facilitates new and innovative, multidisciplinary clinical and translational science and research to improve quality of life in South Carolina.

Offers consultation services and tools to assist study teams with the development of recruitment plans for study participant enrollment and retention.

The Regulatory Knowledge and Support (RKS) team assists investigators and study teams with a variety of regulatory needs.

Provides fee-based services for a myriad of clinical research needs, including nursing, laboratory, research coordination and management.

Serves to create, centralize, and disseminate educational opportunities across the spectrum of clinical and translational research team members.
