She received a BA degree in English literature from Duke University (1968) and an MBA from Emory University (1981). Her career at MUSC started in 1969. She has served as Director of the Office of Research Development since its establishment in 1993.

She received her doctoral degree in physical chemistry at the University of South Carolina. She joined the Research Development Office in 1994 and assists in the development of trans-departmental proposals such as shared research resource grants, program projects, center grants, and statewide consortia.

He received his bachelors degree in Biology from the College of Charleston. Prior to working at MUSC, he was the Director of Contracts and Services at the City of Charleston.

She has been with Medical University for over 10 years, and joined the Office of Research Development in 1999. She is the current university's liaison for the Community of Science, a web-based site for R & D community.

She received a bachelors degree in Public Relations from the University of Alabama. While in college, she worked as an account executive on a promotional campaign for the four-part primetime television series “Remaking American Medicine” which appeared on PBS.
