NIH announces new stipend rates for NRSA trainees

The NIH announced on Jan. 8 new stipend rates for national research service award (NRSA) trainees for fiscal year 2001. The stipend rate for pre-doctoral trainees has been raised 9.6 percent and increases in the post- doctoral stipend rates average 5 percent. In addition, training- related expenses for post-doctoral trainees and the institutional allowance for post- doctoral fellows are being increased.
