The annual Thomas A. Pitts Memorial Lectureship in Medical Ethics will occur Friday and Saturday, October 30-31, in Room 204 of the College of Health Professions Bldg A. The 2009 symposium theme is “The Graying of America: Challenges and Controversies.” Registration, which is free for MUSC faculty, staff and students, is available at http://www.values.musc.edu. Discussion topics include: Rationing Health Care; Racial, Ethnic, and Gender Health Care Disparities in the Elderly; Caring for Persons with Advanced Dementia; and Physician Assisted Suicide. The format will include interactive audience and faculty discussion. Presenters include the following:
