AAHRPP awarded contract to provide VA research program accreditation
The Association for the Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs (AAHRPP) has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) for the accreditation of VA human research protection programs. The contract, which is worth $4.9 million over the next five years, began Dec. 1.
AAHRPP will be administering its accreditation program to all 120 VA facilities during the course of the contract. AAHRPP has currently accredited 28 organizations including MUSC and 87 other entities nationwide, many of which are academic affiliates of VA facilities. Accreditation is for valid for three years.
