Oct. 19 is 2007 Intellectual Property Day at MUSC

Friday, Oct. 19, will be Intellectual Property Day on the MUSC campus this year. Sponsored by the MUSC Foundation for Research Development, the day-long event includes free, private consultation sessions with patent attorneys, interactions with industry representatives from major biotechnology and pharmaceutical firms looking for research collaborations, and a series of open forum talks on such topics as
• How to Obtain Small Business SBIR/STTR) Grants
• FDA Regulatory Affairs
• Commercialization Strategies for Life Sciences
• How to Get Your Research from The Bench to the Bedside

A leading industry executive will give a keynote address at 2:00 PM in the Institute of Psychiatry Auditorium. In addition, a number of MUSC inventors will receive plaques a plaque recognizing recently issued patents.
