A permanent director is appointed for NIBIB

The first permanent director of the National Institutes of Health’s National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB) has been appointed. Roderic I. Pettigrew MD PhD, fills this position. Dr. Pettigrew is currently professor of radiology, cardiology and bioengineering at Emory University School of Medicine, as well as director of the Emory center for MR Research.
