Get your score, download your critique—learn your fate faster through NIH Commons

The fastest, most direct way to find out information about your NIH grant or proposal (including scores and percentiles) is through the NIH Commons at https://commons.era.nih.gov/commons/. The Web site contains information about the scope and purpose of the NIH Commons, frequently asked questions, and the status of grants/applications. In addition, the Commons is the place to submit non-competing continuation (Type 5) applications (i.e., Progress Reports), and Just in Time information. A unique user name and password are required to use the NIH Commons. If you have ever had an NIH grant or served on a review panel, you may already have a Commons account and not know it. To set up or activate your account or transfer it from your prior institution, call your Grants Coordinator in the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (792-3838) or contact Trisha Addison (792-0869 or addisont@musc.edu) in the Office of Research Development.
