CALLS FOR PILOT PROJECTS TRAC solicits pilot projects for methamphetamine addiction research MUSC’s NIH-supported Translational Research in Addiction Center (TRAC) is currently soliciting pilot project proposals on methamphetamine addiction issues. Funding for the Translational Research in Addiction Center is provided by NIDA P50 DA022658. The purpose of the TRAC Pilot Program is to offer MUSC faculty members initial start-up funds to collect initial data for promising research ideas that can develop into an RO3, R21 or R01 submission. The pilot project must focus on a methamphetamine-related topic and may involve either clinical or basic science. Projects involving new investigators, multidisciplinary teams and/or translational research efforts are especially encouraged. Projects will be funded for one year with an option for a one-year competitive renewal. Guidance is provided below. Eligibility: Currently salaried postdoctoral fellows and faculty.
