Three ORI conferences are coming up in the next 6 months
Costs and Benefits of Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) Education Programs
Unlike many other conferences that have focused on subject matter, content, and delivery of RCR education programs, this conference will directly confront issues regarding the structure and costs within institutions to address the context of these programs and their contributions to the research enterprise. This conference will be held May 31-June 1, 2007 in Minneapolis, sponsored by the University of Minnesota and the federal Office or Research Integrity (ORI)
First World Conference on Research Integrity
Researchers, research administrators, sponsors, editors, professional society representatives and policymakers wishing to attend the first World Conference on Research Integrity were required to pre-register by April 27, 2007. Attendance at the World Conference, which will be held in Lisbon, Portugal from September 16-19, 2007, is by invitation to ensure geographical and experiential diversity among attendees. Formal letters of invitation will be sent in early May. The conference is co-sponsored by the European Science Foundation, ORI, and several other organizations.
Teaching Survival Skills and Research Ethics Workshop
The 13th Annual Workshop on Teaching Survival Skills and Research Ethics will be held at The Silvertree Hotel, Snowmass, Colorado from June 10-15, 2007. This six-day workshop will enable faculty and administrators to implement or improve instruction in professional development and/or research ethics at their institution. The workshop is co-sponsored by the University of Pittsburgh, NIH, and ORI.
