Al Haig
explains all….about beamline access and X-ray crystallography
To see and hear former Secretary of State General Alexander Haig unleash
the secrets of X-ray crystallography on a World Business Review segment
(Bravo network), go to the SER-CAT
website,
and look under Announcements. You will need Windows Media or Real
Player to view the video.
SER-CAT stands for SouthEastern Regional Collaborative Access Team.
It was initially formed in 1997 to provide third generation x-ray capabilities
to macro-molecular crystallographers and structural biologists in the
southeastern region of this country. SER-CAT is located at the Advanced
Photon Source, Argonne National Laboratory, and is operated by the
University of Georgia with Professor Bi-Cheng Wang as Director.
MUSC has been a member of SER-CAT since inception. To learn more about
MUSC's membership in SER-CAT or biomedical research applications
of X-ray crystallography, contact Chris
Davies (davies@musc.edu) or
Jeff Hansen (hansenjl@musc.edu).
