Applications for HCC’s Abney Scholarships are due by April 26

The Hollings Cancer Center is now accepting applications for 2005 Abney Foundation Scholarships to support basic cancer, translational, or prevention and control research by trainees at MUSC. Eligible applications include deserving medical students, graduate students, MD/PhD or DMD/PhD students, and postdoctoral fellows.

Four one-year scholarships, each totaling $20,000, will be awarded for salary or stipend support. All applications must be received by 3:00 PM on April 26th. They should be directed to Brenda Nickerson, Room 232 Hollings Cancer Center. Applications will be reviewed and ranked by the HCC Internal Scientific Advisory Board. Announcement of awards will be made by June 4th, 2004.
