Conference on biodefense tools will be held in Washington

A conference to be held June 2-4 in Washington, D.C will provide detailed information about the role that researchers, drug companies, and the public health community can play in addressing the nation's need for biodefense tools. Sponsors are the American Public Health Association, Research!America, American Academy of Pharmaceutical Physicians, Association of Schools of Public Health, Massachusetts Biotechnology Council, and Virginia Biotechnology Association

In conjunction with the conference, a "Partnership Fair" will provide a venue for the government, universities, pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, schools of medicine, and the public health community to explore opportunities to collaborate on the development, testing, production, and distribution of vaccines, therapeutics, and diagnostics.
