CHP launches new Master’s Program in Research Administration A new graduate program now offered through MUSC's College of Health Professions (CHP) combines the culture of research with the advanced study of management. The Master in Research Administration (MRA) program focuses on the health care industry with formats and content tailored for professionals who are already working in the research administration field. The field – and the MRA Program – are open to individuals of varied educational background, not just health care professionals. MUSC's MRA Program is the only one of its kind in the Southeast and one of only three nationwide. It is the only program with an executive-style format. The MRA faculty includes in situ faculty members in the CHP's Department of Health Administration and Policy as well as adjunct faculty from the research community. MRA coursework includes a mix of on-campus classes and on-line lessons. The curriculum consists of 36 credit hours that full-time students may earned over four to six trimesters. Part-time students may take fewer classes and a longer period to complete the curriculum. For more information on the MRA Program, please visit the web site at http://www.musc.edu/chp/mra/index.htm, or contact Ann Brown at brownah@musc.edu. Source: The Catalyst, December 7, 2007
