Grantsmanship Workshop is now registering participants

The Office of Research Development is planning the Spring 2002 Granstmanship Workshop Series. This workshop is taught by Dr. Diane Hatchell, who has a long history working on NIH study sessions. This workshop will meet once a month for 3 months. Each monthly session begins with a meeting of all attendees with Dr. Hatchell in a typical workshop format. This meeting will go from 9am - 12noon. During the remainder of that day and the whole of the next day, Dr. Hatchell is available for individual meetings with every attendee. During this time, Dr. Hatchell can discuss suggestions on grant material that each participant has worked on or plans to work on.

To ensure the full effectiveness of this opportunity, we ask that participants make a firm commitment to attend no less than 2 of the 3 sessions. We strongly urge participants to plan to attend all 3 sessions.

This workshop is an excellent opportunity for those seeking guidance on grantwriting from an experienced NIH reviewer. We plan for 12 participants. The slots usually fill fast.

Dates are:

March 20-21
April 17-18
May 15-16

If you are interested in attending the workshop or suggesting names or potential participants, please email Melissa Matthews at matthema@musc.edu
